mateo casariego



I’m a postdoc at the Portuguese Quantum Institute, and the Center of Physics and Engineering of Advanced Materials (CeFEMA), at Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisbon. I’m currently working on quantum information and sensing topics, and have been active in different European Quantum Flagship projects.
I’m interested in quantum foundations, general relativity, the interplay between gravity and quantum effects, clock synchronization, quantum optics, quantum estimation theory. I enjoy teaching because it is an excuse to re-learn stuff. Recently, I’m getting involved in European projects such as the Quantum Internet Alliance, Hybrid Quantum Classical Computing, or EuRyQa.
